Upgrade to new kernel

Hi All

If I upgraded to new kernel (by using up2date),,can I use my wireless confirguration with new kernel? I am able to use wireless configuration with old kernel,

With new kernel, do I need to do some extra configuration?

Depending on how you got your card to work now you might need to recompile kernel modules.

By updating using up2date,,,,does that mean I have source code for new kernel? How can I check that source if I have ? Please give us more details.

Thanks

For ndiswrapper it might work. It did for me but I think it won't do always. I don't know how to do that if you used a ndiswrapper package, then you probably need to reinstall it if it doesn't work. So it might work. If it doesn't you need the ndiswrapper source files and install those. You'll have the source code on your PC then already probably but I don't know that for sure since I don't use any up2date stuff, just compile it myself.
