[ANNOUNCE] - V-linux-tools, a set of linux command line tools

V-linux-tools, a set of linux command line tools developed by me.

It has:

v-hwclock: A command for manipulating hardware / system clock.

v-pwgen: A password generator producing subset of ascii printable characters.

Get it from my website.

There is already an hwclock command, and you can easily generate passwords using the existing pwgen command, or just "echo 'password' | md5sum". Is there a point to these 'tools', other than to generate traffic to your blog? And why didn't you put these on your OTHER post about your 'tools'???

...and again, as with your package manager, WHY is this an issue, and why should anyone use it, when there are already existing tools (including built-in Linux utilities), that are easy to use??

Again, it seems like you only want to drive traffic to your blog.

@veerain: in the future, posts such as this should be submitted to the Linux - News forum where they will be reviewed and then possibly approved. While we always welcome new open source software, the Linux - Software forum is a technical one and if we allowed release announcements it could easily get overrun.
