I can't run linux on my notebook pc!!!!!

I got a new laptop pc few days back, model HP Pavillion g6 1313ax. I tried out every linux distro that I have on it, but always end up with no display at all. For example, itried out linux mint 12 on this lately, which is a live cd, bot still I don't have any sorta display whatsoever. I tried the very same disc in other comps, it's perfect. Only in my comp all the linux distros are refusing to work!!!

Telling us how far you get may help. Can you use live cd's to access any display on boot?

This really new notebook has a GPU on the CPU and a dedicated GPU. This is supported by the free radeon drivers, but the drivers in Linux Mint 12 are to old to drive those chips. I would try Mint 13 or Ubuntu 12.04. If that doesn't work try to start the system with the vesa drivers (you should get an option for that at the CD's boot menu).

Try 'nomodeset' option during bootup. Then download the associated graphics driver from AMD website (generally a *.run file), make it a rpm, then install it to have your graphics driver installed, it's as simple as that. sorry for the late reply.
