Mini Itx Compatibility

I had a problem with a recent purchase of a barebones mini-itx system, I worked with the vendor to replace it with:

http://www.mitxpc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MINITOPION525

Does anyone see a problem with this hardware for running debian (as a desktop)..?

the unit i returned had powerVR video, which didn't run properly after i installed linux.

thx in advance!

That is a nice one. If you use the proprietary video driver you will even have video acceleration with VDPAU, so that you should be able to view HD videos on that machine.
Not a powerhouse, but definitely good enough for everyday desktop use and multimedia.

Instructions how to install the proprietary drivers on Debian can be found in the Debian Wiki: http://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers

Sound problems now

i've got the new pc working, with the exception of sound (from the line-out, not sure yet about hdmi)

i am getting a pulseaudio warning; i've researched this issue here in lq and on various ubuntu forums, and wiki's.

here's what the system is configuring to (i think):

root@dhal8000:/# aplay -l

any ideas?

You have to do that yourself, using the thread tools at the top of the thread.
