NetBeans trouble

I had some trouble obtaining Linux on my system. So I downloaded NetBeans on my Windows OS. But I'm new to this. it keeps stating that I need a compiler and header files. I understand clearly what its asking for, but no idea where to get it or where to put it. (Using C++ on NetBeans IDE C/C++ 7.1.2 Pack)
