Debian Desktops ?

Openbox with fbpanel, Gnome-Dust icons, Cairo-Clock, screenlets and my customised Black Gold theme.

Trying out Mate on my M/C Shop Desktop which runs Fluxbox with LXpanels. This is AntiX 11 Base Iso install.

I finally got Debian squeeze on my netbook tweaked.

The HOLOS UI really gets the most out of my small netbook screen. It is based on XFCE 4.8, Openbox and comes with many configuration scripts.

For my daily work I use HOLOS, a Debian compatible distro spread by the thinktank alt-0.org , although their website is not very informative yet, and there is a torrent link online somewhere, but you'll have to search for it. https://duckduckgo.com/

That's really nice, I like the bottom panel. Is it some third party dock?

Anyway, here's mine, using Cinnamon under Debian Sid.

Thanks, it's a custom launchpanel for the HOLOS UI.

Thanks, that's conky. If you're interested I took the configuration from here, but removed some items because it didn't fit completely in my screen.

If you like Conky, I think mine is beautiful. As always, Debian with Openbox.
If I could find a transparent calendar that would load on boot-up, my desktop would be perfect. Screentlets has a totally transparent calendar, but it will not load with Openbox.

Add a calendar to conky, why use another app.

Give me time to learn how to use Conky. I am still new at it.
I have looked at many guides, but most of them are far too complex for me. But eventually it will done come Hell or high water.
That will be another opportunity to post a screenshot.

EDIT
I spent some more time searching and found a solution on debianusersforums. The only drawback is that the calenar only displays properly with mono founts, so it is not as pretty as I would like it.
But it still looks pretty good.
