How can I check (and correct if needed) this?

Regarding the native resolution issue...

The following will tell you which resolution you're running X at:

Code:
xdpyinfo | grep dimensions
If you're using the binary NVidia drivers, you can also run nvidia-settings to set your resolution.

And anyway... the updated slackware-lcdfilter SlackBuilds are up. You can download them from the usual place:

https://github.com/duganchen/slackware-lcdfilter

As always, the recommended installation method is to simply rebuild and install all 4 packages in order. Use upgradepkg --reinstall if you need to.

Note that they now include a utility called ft-settings.sh. Have fun playing with it.
