Help me understand DNS

Hi Mentors,

I have very scanty knowledge about the dns , i have tried to read the dns wiki on google but it didn't help me.

I want to understand about the dns working and the various dns records.

Please suggest some good tutorial/ol book so that i can learn something about dns server./
