I am 44 years old now.

I started with red hat 5 or 6 when I was 27. It was rpm HELL!!! back then Then I moved to slackware in that same year. I noticed that building source from tarballs was less of a headache than RPMs.

blah blah blah and the rest is history.

Today, I am using Arch as my host machine and Gentoo and FreeBSD 9.0 in Virtual Machines.

- Linux and Unix ROCKS!!!

Mid-30s (I often forget my age). Started using GNU/Linux in 2004 -- SUSE 9.1 Personal at that time. Lovely distro.

62/55. And many of the members of my LUG are older--old UNIX heads who work in military-related industries (my area is the home of the largest complex of military bases in the USA).

Don't you sometimes get annoyed with the media's notion that only whippersnappers can use computers?

43 now (nearly 44), and started with Ubuntu 7.04 just after its release so I was 38 (nearly 39) when I started using Linux properly. Like a couple of others I had already had a failed foray into it (I tried Red Hat 8 and still have the disks). Just started a Bachelor of Information Technology and have to do most things PC related with XP running in a VM. Hopefully next year will be different.

47 now, started with Debian 3 m68k in 2002. Posted my first request for help on 6 October 2002 when having trouble with the install, and it's still there now - I just found it

Almost 29 in 2012. Started with Linux in 2003, 9 years ago. Have been using some flavour of Linux since then. Dual boot my laptop with windows 7 and Mint. Mint is for me and wifey to do some web designing and HTML. And windows is solely for her for the same purpose.
