Could we have a specific forum for the command line interface user?
I'm not anti GUI but I do tend to use Midnight Commander, Herrie, Mplayer, fbi , etc. & would like to be able to go to a specific forum for these types of questions & answers.
N.B. It could have a sub section for cli admins, if that would make it more popular.
what would be different about this forum compared to just posting in Linux - General? There is no distinction between gui's or terminal's at any point on this site, and I can't see how deliberately highlighting them would help.
Because all sorts of things do and don't involve command lines. What about setting up your network card with a command line? is that a network question, or a command line question? we have to split all apache questions into ones where we used vi or emacs to edit httpd.conf and ones where we use gedit?

If you mean shell commands in the terminal, you can start straightway by asking question. Okay open up a thread about some terminal commands you need. This is linux question (dot) org.

Thanks for the feedback. As most "command line" questions fit quite well into the existing forum hierarchy, we have no plans at this time for a dedicated forum.
