Hi , I am looking for a Bluetooth Dongle for an embedded Linux platform with HID Profile support to test with a Bluetooth enabled remote control. Can anyone suggest?

I've used several BT dongles and imo the BlueSoleil was by far the easiest. My experience with Linux and BT is that the stack is incomplete, but it does offer HID support. You might try something like ndiswrapper with a BlueSoleil software on cd and ...
