Can't edit posts, "Invalid post specified" error

Hello.

During last two days or more I'm unable to edit my messages because "Invalid post specified" error. I'm using opera-9.24 and I'm behind local squid proxy. This problem existed before (looks like problem was with the proxy - fetched old page or something), but I could edit message after pressing "edit" button second time. Unfortunately, during last two days, this doesn't work anymore.

If this is problem with my local configuration, what might be causing it, and how can this be fixed?
If this is a problem with a forum, when this bug will be removed?

Thanks.

Have you tried hitting refresh on your browser before editing?

Refreshing browser doesn't help.

I've not seen that problem - though I am on Iceweasel not Opera. I do know that Trickykid uses Opera as his regular browser and by the fact that he hasn't reported it it would suggest that the problem is at your end. However, to assist with the troubleshooting/investigation from Jeremy's end, could you post up the times you have seen this error? (or recreate it and then post up those times), that way Jeremy can check the logs to make sure that the software didn't hiccup.

I couldn't edit this, this, this and several other posts today almost immediately (well, within 10..20 minutes) after I've created them. Right now I can edit post in this thread, and do not get any errors.
An error normally happens when I make post, and try to edit it few minutes later by pressing "edit" button. Normaly I immediately get "invalid post" error, but if I go back and press "edit" button again, everything works fine. However, today (and yesterday) this didn't work - when I've been trying to edit something, I was getting "invalid post" error again and again.

And here it goes again. I was able to open "edit" page for first message, created previous reply, and couldn't edit anything after that.

That is odd. I was able to open the edit screen on some of your posts (can't do it on all because of lack of super mod powers ) and didn't see the error. I haven't seen anyone else having a problem, so it may be something with your browser or set up (pending Jeremy seeing this thread, of course). Have you tried with a different browser? As I said, Iceweasel/FF doesn't appear to have the same problem.

I remember some time ago (month or two, maybe), several people actually reported same problem, but jeremy's(?) reply was it is because of forum upgrade or something and issue will be fixed within several days. I can't find that thread right now (maybe it is deleted?).

I'll try it.
--EDIT--
Well, it looks like I get this error in opera (only in opera) every time browser tries to open "built-in" message editor (i.e. the one that opens within message, not on separate page). Looks like browser problem, after all. I think I'll have to use firefox and I'll try to upgrade opera. It's strange, because "built-in" editor worked correctly right after opera installation.

Have you added any widgets to opera recently? (I think that's what they're called) Maybe try disabling them, then check the function, then add them back in one at a time to see if they're doing anything they shouldn't.

I'm hearing a couple reports of issues over the last 48 hours, despite the fact that no changes were made on our end. I'm looking into this now and may end up upgrading to the devel version of nginx. Thanks for the heads up, any additional information you come across may be useful.

There are some widgets, but they all aren't used for months (all disabled). Haven't added anything recently.

Another interesting thing: when this message appears, I have to press back twice to get to original page. I.e. when I press "back" on "invalid post" page I get another "invalid post" page, from which I can go back to original thread page. Previously (when I could edit message at second attempt) I was getting only one page.

hope it helps. I'll use firefox for now.

I made a couple changes at approximately 11:30EDT. Let me know if the situation has improved (or worsened). Thanks.

I'll check it.
--EDIT--
No, still doesn't work for new posts in opera.

Test post w/ Opera 9.51

Edit: no trouble editing.

BTW, although I have changed to 9.51 on this machine; I am NOT suggesting that you mindlessly "upgrade" from 9.24

I'll try reinstalling current version of opera later, then maybe i'll try to upgrade it. I didn't upgrade to 9.51 because it had some kind of weird problem on my machine (couldn't start on my machine - either segfaulted on startup or couldn't find something, I don't remember right now).
