Windows ACLs and Linux

I'd like to use Samba to access a windows 2003 share from FC5, I'd then like to rsync that data to a second FC5 box. I need to preserve ACLs and XATTRs

I'm thinking that;
1) the native file system on the linux boxes will need to support ACLs and XATTRs
2) Samba will also need to support them
3) rsync will need to support them

Have I missed something?

Is this possible with the most current versions of software?

The boxes currently have FC5 2.6.15, ext3. smbd 3.0.21b-2. rsync 2.6.6 -- But I could change all this (although I would kinda like to stick with FC)

I have done some searching on the web but information seems conflicting (perhaps out of date)

really appreciate.

Do any of the four top-results answer your question?
