I need yast sources for software

I am new in Linux and I have some problems when i install new programs..
I need for example DVD player ..avi player , divxplayer and many codecs... I try to install them through yast ..and a list of dependencies appear.
I need a list of Ftp sources ..!!!!! So please can i know other ftp or http sites ..other than guru...
I need sources for dvd players, for codecs etc...
I have suse 9.3 installed on 1 PC and suse 9.2 on the other....
HELP !!!!!

the easy way ... even for being new on linux is ...
using the search ... here and in google
at google take for example
�Suse 9.3� rpm download and the playername or missing dependencies
as i always do ...
and the yast sources ... same here in search or in google

Here is a list of Suse Mirrors

You will have to go through the sites to find the correct URL to add to yast

For instance

German Mirrors -> ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/ -> pub -> suse ->i386 -> 9.3

The URL of this page is the one to add to yast

Obviously if you are using 9.2 go to that page, same applies if you use a different architecture other than i386

I repeat VIMBOB's answer in a previous thread:

If you use suse 9.2 then in the directory on server use : suse/9.2
The directions below work!

''SuSE 9.3 is easily fixed for full multimedia support, here's an easy n00bified way of doing it..
Do an online update from Yast and install the Multimedia Packs...

Next open up Yast and in the software section open 'Change Source of Installation'.
Add the Packman Yast source;
Protocol - HTTP
Server Name - packman.iu-bremen.de
Directory on Server - suse/9.3

once that's added click on the up button so packman is at the top.
...then OK & Finish

Now in Yast open 'Install & Remove Software' and use the package manager to uninstall mplayer, kaffeine, xine-ui and libxine1.
Then reinstall those packages from the packman source (Yast will prompt you to accept the W32codecs to go with Mplayer).
This will get everything working with all codecs you'll need.

Lastly to get DVD video playback working install 'libdvdcss'.
Just download this RPM and install with Yast (You can just launch the RPM from Konqueror and click on 'Install with Yast').
