Well, it installed without a hitch
However, at boot up off hard drive GDM failed to start; complaing about libGL.so.1
so, I rebooted into my Slack setup and created a symlink in /usr/lib to libGL.so
ln -s libGL.so.1 libGL.so
and then I rebooted into Sabayon and GDM started fine and I logged in to Gnome desktop
At that point I checked on updates and also installed the nvidia driver for my PC 96.43.16 legacy
which after rebooting also worked great with proper resolution, etc
Well, for some reason the pkg manager (sulfur) keeps telling me to install the 190 series nvidia driver
which is incorrect..
So, thats only issues I really had..
As far as preferences; Removing packages via Sulfur pkg manager
is clumsy because of the process you gotta go thru to remove a pkg
first, you gotta left click the pkg
to highlight it
then you gotta right click it and choose remove or purge
Then, you have to hit the "install" button; as there is no remove or execute button
once you hit install button it goes to another gui showing pkg(s) you want removed
then you hit "commit" button and it removes pkg(s)
so, Sulfur needs some tweaking I think
Thats as far as I've gotten s far..
What about you linusstallman?
Did you install it?
