ROCK vs. Rocks

As it seems, there are now a couple of threads about a project called "Rocks" or "ROCKS" (plural). However, this forum was initially established for another project called "ROCK Linux", which is discontinued, as it has been abandoned by its originator, Clifford Wolf, in 2010.

To the members participating in the ongoing discussions and the mods:
  • Would you agree, that it might make sense to have a dedicated forum for "ROCKS" (plural), separate from the forum for "ROCK Linux", and move the current threads to the new forum?
  • To the ROCK Linux community: This forum has been quiet for a while. Would you agree, that it could be closed, or is anyone planning a revival of ROCK Linux (including the brand name)?

I am not a moderator and not even a member of the ROCK Linux community, but I found the project highly interesting some years ago, and at that time I was a strong advocate for consolidating the various mailing lists and forums, that existed, and move them to LQ.net. Unfortunately, the project never got the boost, it deserved, for a number of reasons including disputes between core team members, and the project has been discontinued in 2010.

After five years of de-facto inactivity it might make sense to clean up things and archive the forum, if only for the sake of a bit of house-keeping.

But it all depends on the moderators and the (former) ROCK Linux community as the intended users. What do you think about it?

Thanks for the feedback. As the ROCK distribution has been EOL'ed, I've archived the forum. If someone associated with Rocks would like to participate here at LQ, we'd be happy to create a dedicated disto forum for them.

I think the rock community moved to T2 SDE, although excluding their mailing list that project doesn't seem very alive.
