PVFS2 vs Lustre on RocksCluster.

Hello to everyone.

I hope this is the right place for this kind of post.

We have a really old server (that we should turn it off permanently but) which has 14 nodes and quite enough RAM for learning HPComputing. I was thinking to put on Rocks Cluster and I would like some info about Parallel fs.

Each node has enough hard disk space, but we were thinking whether we could unify them all to one huge partition (thus to be accessible from all nodes like /export folder). I have been reading lately about PVFS and Lustre, but since I have never used them before (and I am trying to get familiar with) I would like to ask if there is anyone that has. What would you suggest between them (or if you have any other suggestion).
