newer rh oses ship with a neutered xmms that will not play mp3s. i don't recall if this started back as early as rh9. if this is the situation, the solution is to build/install xmms without disabling mp3 support.
what errors to you get when you try to play mp3s? do other music files play? please describe with more details.
My player playes mp3 files at quite a high speed like 1 min per sec. Every time for every mp3 file.
I do not know why. CPU usage is also like hell. My laptop freezes for a min.
You should post a new thread instead of just asking questions on this one.
Are you sure you have the MP3 plugin installed AND enabled?
As for your problem, did you play with any plugins?
Did you reset everything in the options?
Does anything ELSE play (other media format)?
