X11 forwarding issues between RHEL 5.2 and Debian 4.0

I'm trying to x11 forward from a RHEL 5.2 box to a Debian 4.0 box and then running VMware. My issue is that I can bring up the program fine but that mouse movement is not being forwarded somehow. When ever I move the mouse over a virtual machine in VMware I cannot see it. I get the below message as well when powering on the machine. I added the following to my xorg.conf file but it did not work.

Section "Module"
Load "XKEYBOARD"
Load "XTEST"
Load "XVideo"
Load "XFree86-VidModeExtension"
EndSection

My friend seems to think it's a difference in Xlibs between RHEL and Debian. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"Your X server supports neither the XKEYBOARD nor the XTEST extension. Virtual mouse and keyboard emulation requires at least one of these to run well. You may want to change your X server configuration or the X server itself. If you build your own X server, please enable one or both of these extensions."

Thanks
