Recently I installed a Redhat Enterprise 5.1.19 to a dell server, at first it run very well. But after I updated from Redhat Network and rebooted, it became very slowly when I login X server. It took me 5-10 minutes to login after I input user name and password, and after login I have to take another 3 minutes to open any X client application, but it was fine to open system administration tools. So I believe there was something wrong with the X server, but I don't know how to do with this? Anyone can help me to solve this problem? Thanks very much for any advices or hints.

Please locate and post your xorg.conf file, let us know if you don't know where it is.

Change xorg.conf name then run:

#system-config-display

check configuration and then run

#startx
