Have you ever wondered why fortune program is not being distributed with fedora or recent RH releases?

Its really a cool program to have.

Could be due to licensing issues, however, having no official word it's just a guess. AFAIK Fortune is part of the BSD gaming suite, and it's possible that RH is going with only GPL apps?

You can certainly download and install it after the install though, if that's your follow up question

Moving to Redhat Forum as they will likely have a better/more official word on it.

Cool
