where to download kernel source 2.4.20-8

hello,

I'm trying to install my nvidia stuff, however, it is having problems with the kernel source tree. I read a couple of treads and one of them said that this might be a problem with the source which comes with the RH9 CDs.

Therefore, I'm trying to get a new kernel source for 2.4.20-8.

I have looked at kernel.org and redhat.com and searched google. I'm sure that it is out there somewhere.

I really need it.

Please help...

cheers,

I had been to that site earlier in the day but i didn't get the file because it was a src.rpm.

Do you know what that file does? Will it just install the kernel tree into the /usr/src directory?

many thanks

Howzit

This will install the kernel on your box with the src dir in /usr/src. The diff is that it's not designed for any specific arch it's all source therefor it will builds it according to your arch u have on your box.

the arch u find are i386 i586 i686 athalon etc
