I ask because I am hoping it will work with my new motherboard the intel dq965gf which would only work with suse...I wan't to learn redhat though and fedora did now work...so I am hoping the new redhat will...any idea when it will actually be released?
If Fedora did not work, then you may have problems with Redhat because RHEL 5 is based on Fedora Core 6. CentOS 5 beta, based on RHEL 5 is available, so you may want to take that for a spin and see if it works for you.

thanks I guess centos I will try...question...if centos is based of redhat is redhat 5 actually a beta at this point? and if not will centos release a non beta 5 in the near future?
RHEL 5 is not a beta, it was released yesterday as mentioned by XaViaR. CentOS 5 though is still a beta because they take time to test stuff they build from the RHEL sources until they are satisfied with it. They are usually about 2 weeks behind the official RHEL releases. I am actually using the CentOS 5 beta as I type this. It works pretty well and so far it is very stable.
