What is going on with these mirrors??!!!
I am trying to download the Redhat ISO's for x86_64
but every ISO I've downloaded till now doesn't match the checksum. In fact they are totally different one another defferent! And belive me I tried many many mirros and 2 different checksum generator programs to be sure. Can u recommend me a 'sure' mirror, where I my ISO will be what I've asked for cos trully my patient runs out... Thanks in advance A correct-mirror searcher :P |
Perhaps your downloading meathod is adding unwanted/needed extra information to the ISO files. Since you do not specify which ISO's your downloading I will suggest using wget to download them from the same mirrors you already tried and in case you need wget;
http://users.ugent.be/~bpuype/wget/ An example of using wget to download an ISO; wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/centos/4.2...64-bin1of4.iso |

FC4-x86_64-disc1.iso from frp turgaz(dot)at (I'm not allowed to post a link u know) In fact I tried the above link with wget but the same. Checksum is totally different. I'll try now ur link although it's a kind slow one (<100KB/s) |
Hmmm.... I visited ftp://ftp.tugraz.at/mirror/redhat-li...ra/linux/core/ and downloaded FC4-x86_64-rescuecd.iso as a test. The results;
$ sha1sum FC4-x86_64-rescuecd.iso 4182b99c5d97fd31be9a49da40a9c72d1dd4123d FC4-x86_64-rescuecd.iso which matches the posted SHA1SUM for the file; 4182b99c5d97fd31be9a49da40a9c72d1dd4123d FC4-x86_64-rescuecd.iso |
