user account expired ???
 

when i installed redhat 9.0 i had my own account (payab) and now when i login it says that the administrator had closed your acccount and contact your administrator.. wat should i do ?
i know that this can be done trough root account login but how ?

Try this command as root:

passwd -u account-to-unlock

thanks i tried to change the password of the user but it had the error " Authentication error"
but i will try it out !

give this command in single user mode:

#authconfig
*md5(click)
*shadow(click)
then it works .
if account expires give this command:
#chage -E never root
