Upgrading Red hat

Ok .. I really want to upgrade my version of Red Had from 7.3 to 9 ... I have a few questions .. now keep in mind that I am very new to linux .. I am learning .. but have a long way to go .. ..

1) can I just run a command to upgrade the current kernel from 7.3 to 9 ...

2) if option 1 dose not work .. I need to download the distro .. thats fine .. I have a cable connection .. heres the questions that I have here .. what files do I download????? ..

shrike-SRPMS-disc1.iso
shrike-SRPMS-disc2.iso
shrike-SRPMS-disc3.iso

OR

shrike-i386-disc1.iso
shrike-i386-disc2.iso
shrike-i386-disc3.iso

3) Would it be better to totally clean the drive and do a freash install of ReaHat 9 .. being my current distro is over 2 years old ? ...

4) and finally ... is there a major differance between RedHat 7.3 and 9? .. is it worth the upgrade? ...

Yup .. totall

Fedora is Good

Fedora works really well and it is just like the red hat distributions. It is definately the way to go if you like red hat, but don't want to shell out the money for the enterprise server.
