Upgrading from Red Hat 9

Hi,

I have a server running RH 9 that I want to upgrade.

Is there a way to jump from RH 9 to CentOS 4.1 (basically RHEL 4) without losing my data?

Or is RH 9 too old to make the jump? I think it might be too old.

Should I simply backup everything, format, install Cent and restore my backup?

Thanks!

Simon

You would be safer backing up your data, making a fresh CentOS installation and then restoring backed up files on your system.
