upgrade kernel to latest version


i install centos and how i can upgrade kernel to latest version??

If you mean the latest Centos kernel then.
Quote:
yum update kernel
as root.

This assumes you have a net connection and are using Centos 5.X.

If you got new kernel RPM, never update your kernel. First install new, test new, if it works, remove old.

Code:
rpm -ivh kernel.rpm
And if you want yum to do it, same as lazlow told...

yum update kernel

You have re-opened an old thread that had been closed for NINE YEARS, hijacked it with your own question, and used text-speak (it's "please" not "pls"). None of which are good, and you also provide no details about version/distro, etc.

Open your own thread for your own question.
