Updating Perl-DBI on RHEL3
 

I am running RHEL 3 Update 8.

My Perl DBI is at 1.32, but I need at least 1.38. I need this to use Informix.pm, which requires Perl DBI 1.38.

I cannot get Perl DBI updated with CPAN or manually installing the new pm.

The complaint I get is

DBI object version 1.54 does not match $DBI::VERSION 1.32 at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi/DynaLoader.pm line 249.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi/DBI.pm line 250.

Does anyone have any suggestions for updating to the new Perl DBI?
