up2date register problem

I read the thread about upgrading the update software and I have but it didnt fix my problem.
When I go through the redhat update agent the privacy statement hangs so I just click forward next screen I check create new account fill in username and password twice, e-mail and clikc forward next screen is register a user and it says all information is optional so I just fill in the name and email and click forward to register a system profile I fill in the profile name click forwardleave everything cheched under system profile next screen is we are finished collecting info click forward to send ( yes Im connected to the web:D )and then I get a small screen that says "Problem Registering Username" .
Ive tried diferent names but with the same results
Has anyone had the same problem or have clue as to whats going on.
Ive also tried to register on the web but it said to start the registration from my start menu redhat registration.
I did purchase this copy of redhat and would like to do the updates.
Thanks

I had the same problem. Installing the new SSL certificates solves the problem. The new certificates (and instructions) are available here:

https://rhn.redhat.com/help/latest-up2date.pxt

For a standard pentium/athlon computer, you need to download the two files listed under Redhat 9 Linux i386.

Hope this helps

"still no go" is very vague. What problem do you see?

Yah your right "still no go" doesnt really say much, Im sorry I dont know if you noticed Im trying to deal with a triple boot thing at the same time :D
At my level of expertise, I really shouldnt be dealing with one problem let olone two.
Ok Im still getting the "Problem Registering Username" box. I know im grasping at straws but could it be the up2date program cause like I said the privacy statement hangs, I dont know if theres something on that screen that I should be checking but am not because it never loads or if Im not doing something else wrong ,and thats defiantly not outside the realm of posibilities :D

Can you prove that you have the required version of up2date installed? E.g. with

rpm -qa 'up2date*'

A common mistake is that users installed the src.rpm files instead.
