package mngmt dep. prob --ADDENDUM: NeVerM!nd, sorry
Using Redhat 9.0 . I desire to free some harddrive space.
Earlier tonight went into Add/Remove Packages from my Gnome desktop dropdown menu. I clicked KDE Software Development (which was by default originally NOT installed on my system ) and ADDED it. Then I realized that it took up over 100megs of space, and decided I'd rather just do without it afterall. So I go to Add/Remove Packages again, and de-select KDE Software Development . When I click UPDATE, the following dependencies are found: [X] Package Not Found The Following packages could not be found on your system. Installation cannot continue until they are installed. Unlocatedable Package -------------Required by pilot-link-devel >= 1:0.11.4 --------gnome-pilot-devel libxslt-devel >= 1:0.11.9 ------------libgnome-devel I find this strange though, because: a) I'm not "installing" but un-installing, and b) i ADDED the package not 20 minutes ago and have done nothing inbetween and now REMOVING is problematic? thanks for reading. help is appreciated. |
