unable to find the right php-mysql package for RHEL 6
Hi,
I recently installed a RHEL 6.0 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (2.6.32-71.el6.i686)) with Apache, mySql, PHP and Joomla, but the Joomla says there is no mySql support.
I identified I need the package php-mysql for that, but I cannot find any rpm for my specific distribution and version of mySql (i find it for other distributions and/or versions of sql...)
These are the versions of my sw:
Apache
httpd-2.2.15-5.el6.i686
Mysql
qt-mysql-4.6.2-16.el6.i686
mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.5r1144-7.el6.i686
mysql-libs-5.1.47-4.el6.i686
mysql-5.1.47-4.el6.i686
mysql-server-5.1.47-4.el6.i686
PHP
php-cli-5.3.2-6.el6.i686
php-xml-5.3.2-6.el6.i686
php-common-5.3.2-6.el6.i686
php-pear-1.9.0-2.el6.noarch
php-5.3.2-6.el6.i686
php-pdo-5.3.2-6.el6.i686
php-gd-5.3.2-6.el6.i686
As I understood so far I need the following package:
php-mysql-5.3.2-6.el6.i686
but I can't find it anywhere!!
What can I do?
Thanks.

RHEL 6 is a propitiatory OS.
No packages from Redhat, unless you pay for a subscription.
Then install with : # yum install php-mysql
Don't want to pay ? Install the free copy of RHEL 6 = SL 6.0

Hey, thanks knudfl!
It was as easy as looking in the DVD, were all the packages are...
Is your suggestion the best distribution to install it as a small business server? (mail, sanjweb, fileserver...)
Thanks again for your reply!

It's a good commercial grade Linux, but as pointed out, either pay RH for support and updates, or get SL6 for free updates, but no support.
Note that installing off the DVD (apart from initially) is not recommended, as those pkg versions will sooner or later be out of date and need upgrading.
