I need a bit of guidance. I am attempting to setup a RedHat 4 Server. I want to (and have installed) TomCat 5, now I need a bit of guidance on how to use subversion with it. Any help would be appreciated.
Your question is too vague. Subversion is a source code control system usually used from the command line in linux or a GUI front end (like TortoiseSVN) in Windows. There may be a webDAV like SVN like thing ( I remember reading something about this awhile back). Is that what you are trying to do? If not please explain in more detail.
I know what it is and how to use it from the client side, what I need a bit of help about is how to setup the server side. I was told to use tomcat as the webserver, to setup repositories that can be accessed from a browser as well as an svn client
.
Thanks,
I have done this before BUT I used Apache inistead of Tomcat. Do you HAVE to use Tomcat? If you are bundling things together you can always make Apache and Tomcat work in harmony.
Here is one of many howtos on setting up SVN with Apache
