Question Starting httpd-2.0.47-8

When I start my httpd-2.0.47-8 I get this error:

httpd failed. The error was: Starting httpd: /usr/sbin/httpd: relocation error: /usr/lib/libapr-0.so.0: symbol sys_siglist, version GLIBC_2.3.3 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
[FAILED]

Does anyone know why this comes and how to fix this?

Is this Red Hat Linux 8.0? Did you upgrade the "glibc" or "apr" package to a version not shipped with Red Hat Linux 8.0?

What do you get for: rpm -q glibc apr

Your httpd package is for Red Hat Linux 8.0, the apr package looks like the one for Fedora Core 1.

With Red Hat Linux 9 comes httpd 2.0.40-21. The latest erratum is httpd 2.0.40-21.5. glibc should be 2.3.2-11.9, the latest erratum is glibc 2.3.2-27.9
