Need some help playing CD's. I'm running Redhat 9. Everything seems fine. I'm able to hear the test sound; CD player pops up, correctly reads the data from the audio CD and appears as if it is playing; Nothing is muted; The volumes are up; And when I boot up Windows, (on another drive) I can listen to disks, which tells me the cable from the cd player to the soundcard is connected. Looked through books, searched the web for answers, and still can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
It might be an idea to verify if the audio cable from cd to mobo is connected. I'm sure I read on these forums that windows can play audio cd's through the IDE cables.
