Selecting package groups during install

Simple question - when installing RHEL, I'm presented with package groups to select for the installation. Only some groups are shown, and the groups shown change from installation to installation. Why's that? And is there any parameter I can pass to anaconda at the beginning for it to show all package groups?

Is this choosing custom install or prefab's like server, dev station and such?

AFAIK not. What are you trying to accomplish?

No, that's against the LQ Rules.

It never prompts for such a choice.

Well, sometimes it hides packages that I want to install. I'd rather be able to pick and choose what I want instead of it randomly guessing.

It's fine, I'm not complaining, just comparing it to the other subforums around.

If you mean "package group selections" as in this shot then clicking "details" and working the tickboxes is as fine-grained as it gets during install. From your reply I can't get a fix on what you mean by "sometimes it hides packages". Maybe elaborate if it's worth it to you.

Grass being greener everywhere else...
If you still want to move it you know how to do it.

Yes, figure 4-22 is where the problem pops up.

eg Under applications, 'editors' may not show up in some installs (well actually not editors, that always shows up, just an example). Most frequently happens with the type of server daemons I want installed.

Anyway, it's not a big issue, I'll just stick with installing 'em manually later on. Thanks for at least responding to my posts =)
