Smile sartup file in linux


Hello,

i want to know in RedHat Linux which directory store linux startup file what is file name "My question is i want to set program, my system is reboot after 15 minuets how can i set. what is file name"

second question is why does not attack anti virus in Linux operating system

Linux's "startup file" is, actually, a series of scripts that get run in a particular order. Check the /etc/init.d folder for these scripts.

You can add a line to the file
/etc/rc.local
this is the last file to be run, and is the place your type of change is generally expected to be added.

In re your virus qn, there are few viruses written for Linux. Afaik, about 5 - 10 proof-of-concept in the lab, and almost none in the wild.
See the Security Forum or just search LQ for more discussions about that.
Note that the executable format of a Linux exe is different to that of an MS exe, so MS viruses simply won't run on Linux.
