Hi all..
I was trying to install Samba..I gave everything as per docs:
in /etc/samba/smb.conf i made the changes, i added the shares, the users, etc. I gave passwords for the valid users, and when i try to connect with
smbclient //localhost/root -U user, and after i enter the password for the user, it is giving me the following error message:
tree connect failed:NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD.
And i'm sure thatthe password is the same...
I jus wanted to check the shares, by accessing them from the localhost..
Is that possible?

Well, now there is more interesting thing.
If i give command:
smbclient -L localhst - i can see all the shares availbale on my machine, and all of them are correct.
If i try to connect like:
smbclient //localhost/root
and enter the root passwd, also i'm able to access.
But that's the only case, in other way i continiue to hava problems, for the other users..
All of them are listed in smb.conf file like validusers.
I tried to change validusers, with "users" but still it dind't work.
Any ideas?

Well, everthing is done and working.
The problem can be from things like incorrect path, or incorrect asigning of users in /etc/samba/smb.conf
If you play a little bit around with the file (for me few hours today), then everything is working
