RHEL4 - How to add additional language after installation?

Hello!

RHEL4 was installed with Russian language only, and the utility - system-config-languages do not shows other languages to change beside Russian.

system-config-packages also does not provide options to install additional languages.

I've searched whole internet and haven't found the solution. I am very curious to know what .rpm contains language packs.

Please help!
Thanks.

Hi,

I think your language is set by the ENvironment variable LANG, if you run the 'env' command, mine is set to en_GB.UTF-8 which is ENglish_GreatBritain with a UTF8 codeset. Have a look on your host in /usr/share/locale, this is where most of the language stuff hides.

Stuart.
