RHEL3 user passwd help

I am currently logged into my account. Trying to change my password, I finally managed to do so after several attempts when my colleague dropped in and I forgot my new password. Is there anyway I can reset it while I am in?

get hold of somebody with "super User" password or if you are root just
`passwd "username"`

Hope this helps if it doesn't help give me more info
