RHEL3 boot from cd prob....(please respond)

would appreciate your help...

i am running RHEL3 and am attempting to boot from a CDROM in order to install another distro, but right after i change the bios boot menu to boot from the CDROM the RH menu appears and i am pipelined into loading REDHAT. i have booted from the CD many times before, but this time, it's just not happening.

absolutely no idea how to handle this.

have uncovered possible solutions/problems on www and checked them:
1. the <.iso> has been burned correctly onto the via Nautilus, CD Creator;
2. changed <using_dma> in /proc/ide/hdc/settings from "1" to "0";
3. looked for SATA Controller setting in BIOS, which someone suggested i switch from "auto" to "IDE", but this BIOS doesn't seem to have that option.

any suggestions?

thank you.
