RHEL Versions and differences

Can anyone tell me the dates of release and significant differences between releases of RHEL?

I'm due to do the RHCE course soon (version 6).

Couple of books on amazon ranging in price from 2 for the 2000 edition, 5 for the 2002 edition, to 25 for the latest edition (Albeit still version 5).

Am I wasting money getting an older version of the book?

Get a book that covers the major version you'll be working with.

Hi,

You mean version 6 right? While waiting for a printed version you can always start reading online:
http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Re...nux/index.html. Version 6 is available there in various formats to read online or even download for example as PDF.

Kind regards,

Eric
