RHEL 5 on IBM x3850

Hi!

I'm trying to install RHEL 5 on an IBM x3850 system.
I'm having troubles just after the boot promt, in the screen were you choose to verify the media, the system hangs. I've tried boot using
linux nousb and algos use CTRL+ALT+F3. So far, I don't have any clues. Also tried using the media somewhere else and didn't have any trouble.
I'm able to install RHEL 4 on the same system.

Do not do the media check then or if you insist then disable DMA, this will slow everything down but will work.

Lenard, thank you for your reply.

The thing is, I don't even get to test the media. It's right then, when I have to choose between checking the media or skipping it, where the system hangs.

Any help is welcome.
