RHEL 4 and Sendmail

I have had Sendmail work fine with Red Hat Enterprise 3 but....

with RHEL 4 it is failing at the file sendmail.cf. It appears that every time I try to send mail, Sendmail restarts by overwritting that file to the default.

In other words sendmail.cf is not properly being saved.

Any clue on how to fix this?

Chris

In RHEL 4 ,did u try after editing /etc/mail/sendmail.mc
after needed edits,
#m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
service sendmail restart
after installed dovecot rpm,
/etc/dovecot.conf
service sendmail restart
also,
chkconfig --level 35 sendmail on
chkconfig --level 35 named on
chkconfig --level 35 dovecot on
Is that what u needed?
