RHCE 6 to RHCE 7

Hello guys,

I have RHCE for RedHat 6, and I'd like to recertificate for RHEL 7.

Now question: do I have to pass RHCSA for RHEL7 or going directly for RHCE ?

no, you can do the exam immediately if you wish.

Much thanks...

At least I know I'll suffer only 4h :D

Why even recertify for RHEL7? If you take some of the continuing ed courses, your RHCE stays current for RHEL 6 and beyond :)

... as a matter of fact... I think I'll skip the idea of recertify for RHEL7...

Just a side note, my company after some testings decided not to migrate from RHEL 6 to RHEL7 ( jut WAYYYYYYY to many changes )

For me it look quite messy, not to mention it took me almost 1h to rename those fukin network interfaces :(

Why would you rename the interfaces? UDEV naming was changed for a reason.

So in refusing to adopt RHEL7 from RHEL6, your company thinks there will be *less* changes in RHEL8? :)

RHEL7 is a pretty big change, but this isn't 2010 anymore, and your OS should be more advanced than that. RHEL6 will be around until 2023, so I suppose you have some time to prepare...
