As root, run:
Code:
redhat-config-network
a create an ethernet connection making sure that all settings are correct.

I can't be much more help because you need to supply more information about what you have tried.

I'm not sure what else to suggest. Check and double check your settings; do you have to statically enter your IP or do you have DHCP? Stuff like that.

are you able to ping external ip addresses, i.e. 216.239.39.104 (google.ca).

if not, is the default gateway set? i.e. run "netstat -r" and see if there is an entry for "default." if it is not set, add with "route add default gw 192.168.2.1 eth0" (where 192.168.2.1 is your gateway and eth0 is whatever device you're trying to configure).

if so, are any dns servers defined? look in /etc/resolv.conf to find out. additional nameservers can be added with "nameserver 123.456.789.123" syntax.

start/restart the network service with "service network restart".
