RH 9 and Cisco Aironet 350

Hello all.

I am trying to get a Cisco Aironet 350 pcmcia wireless lan adapter working on RedHat 9. No success so far.

I have downloaded the drivers from Cisco and the pcmcia-cs drivers and followed all the instructions.

Everytime I start the Cisco configuration tool I get a no radio found error.

Any clues?

Thanks.

I'm also having trouble getting it to work, and found Cisco's install document confusing. I noticed no responses here, were you able to solve the issue? If so how?

I had the same problem. Do a seach on airo_mpi and get install this driver. Also, get the acu utility from cisco website. After you load airo_mpi, run "acu" and if the card comes up then acu will come up.

Check the firmware on the PCMCIA card. The latest Cisco tools for Windows automatically upgrade the card firmware to some 5.x.y version. The linux drivers support only an earlier version of the 350 firmware (some 4.25.x). You can go to the Cisco site, use the software selector tool and find the correct firmware by setting Linux as the OS choice.

Hope this helps....
