Unhappy redhat linux is hanging

I have installed redhat hat linux on a dual CPU PIII class (2 Way SMP IBM make server) with 2 GB RAM, this box is running Squid and Dansguardian to do caching and content filtering, I am facing two basic problems

1. the server hangs / freezes after every 20 hours and even CTRl+alt+Del will not work, only a hardboot solves the problem for next 20 hours

2. Dansguardian fails after every 2 hours and needs to be restarted

The following are the versions of squid and Dansguardian

DansGuardian 2.6.1-5.RH9

Squid 2.5.STABLE1-2

Please help

I don't know much about any of this, but I would suggest you check your logs and check for runnign cron jobs.
