Redhat 9 CD BURNING HELP!

hello all,

Im trying to install redhat 9 from installation disks that i have burned to CDRs. However, they do not get recognized upon startup. My Cd-rom is already being checked upon booting, and I have also tried using a boot disk. HOwever, as i was reading up, im thinking that maybe i didnt burn the CD's with the right methods. What program does everyone use to accomplish the burning, and if i look at what is on the CDR after burning, what things should i see.
right now, i still see

shrike-i386-disc1.iso

pretty sure thats not right, probably something dumb i did. thanks for the help.

Well you'll need some software to burn the CD from the image of that ISO.... the .iso file (which is 600+MB) contains the files within itself. Right now what you're trying to do is to start up an installation with 1 huge "package" file. It will do nothing to just put a huge .iso file on a CD.

If you have some software for Windows (I presume you downloaded in Win), then you need to "burn a CD from an ISO image".. that iso image is the "shrike-i386-disc1.iso". Best thing to do is get cdrwin, nero, roxio or something of the sort to make your CD from that iso file.

Good luck
