I am running Redhat 8.0 on a multiprocessor Xeon machine. For the past some days the machine has been freezing for no obvious reason. The system just hangs with the keyboard lights on and does not respond to anything. It has to be restarted to get working again. I tried looking at the logs but could find any errors in the '/var/log/messages' file. The last few entries in the log before restart are :
Code:
Apr 16 21:03:12 server1 ntpd[882]: time reset 0.404660 s
Apr 16 21:03:12 server1 ntpd[882]: synchronisation lost
Apr 16 21:32:04 server1 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-10-134
Apr 17 00:30:55 server1 syslogd 1.4.1: restart.
Is there any other place where I can look for possible errors.
Thank you
